Grundform (Infinitiv) des Verbs

Grundformen des Verbs (auch Stammform oder Infinitiv geannt) sind Wörter wie „laufen, gehen, springen, essen„. Die meisten diese Wörter enden auf –en am Ende wie zum Beispiel bei dem Wort lauf-en.

Es gibt aber auch Grundformen von Verben, die nur auf -n enden. Das sind Wörter wie klettern und wandern.

Die Grundform des Verbs besteht aus dem Wortstamm und der Endung!

Beispiel 1: Grundform ist gehen. Wortstamm ist geh-. Die Endung ist -en.

Beispiel 2: Grundform ist spielen. Wortstamm ist spiel-. Die Endung ist –en.

Beispiel 3: Grundform ist singen. Wortstamm ist sing-. Die Endung ist -en.

Diese Grundform des Verbs nennt man auch „Infinitiv“, „Nennform“ oder auch Stammform. Du findest sie in Wörterbüchern.

Die Grundform des Verbs kannst du „konjungieren„.

the German article – der, die, das

One of the biggest problems German learners have with is the German article, although German is very similar to the English language. It has to do, that in German there is not only the article „the“, but three ones, „der – die – das“.

But let’s start with some easy examples:

  • the man – der Mann
  • the woman – die Frau
  • the child – das Kind

Do you see the difference between German and English? In English there exists only the article „the“ and in German there are three ones: der – die – das!

What you really should know about the German article:

Every noun in German has an arbitrary article, which you have to learn, but there are some hints, if it is der, die oder das.
